lyrics
My main problem with religion, is the assumption that it’s way is right.
I was raised Catholic, went to Sunday school,
but being good seemed like common sense to me.
I saw grown adults treat each other well,
not because it was right,
but to avoid going to hell.
Something’s greatly wrong with this situation,
being good shouldn’t stem from obligation.
I won’t give into religious doctrine.
I’ll follow my heart and do what’s right,
without fear of going to your made up hell.
My main problem with religion, is that it acts like a corporation.
I was raised Catholic, went to Sunday school,
but being a salesman never made much sense to me.
I heard grown adults bash the pastor,
predict downfall of the parish because fundraising was down.
Something’s greatly wrong with this situation,
raising money shouldn’t be an obligation.
