lyrics

My mentor of 10 years, years of good memories, lessons learned and times had I’ll never live with regret. Taught me to be positive, life is worth every breath I respect that more than all else, I’ll try and take the high road. Confidence as a kid a trait I will not ever lose, having faith in myself a lesson that I’ll always hold. I can’t escape the memories, memories of he and me these are the ones I choose, the ones I’ll keep. All those years of trust have since been lost. Some things just can’t return. My mentor of 10 years, shocked me more than I believe when I heard I hit the floor, charged a pedophile. How the hell can I express feelings of nothingness a person I looked up to left me disappointed. In everything you taught me your actions proved the opposite it’s a shame such a waste how’d it go so wrong? I’ve come to terms with the fact it’s in the past no turning back I hope you understand why you cannot be in my life. All those years of trust….. You spent three years in a federal prison. I wish you no harm but you need help. I’m going to try my best to take away some good. I hope you do well but I’ve cut the chord.
